Cheap celebrations for Twilight stars

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart apparently spent New Year's Eve at a cheap party which charged just $6.50 entry.

The Twilight Saga actors, who have constantly denied they are in a relationship , were seen mingling with 130 guests and enjoying cheap drinks at the Winter Gardens bar in Ventnor, on the Isle of Wight, which is just off the south coast of England.

A party goer said: "Robert and Kristen were totally normal. They acted like regular people and blended in with the regulars."

A local resident said he could not believe the celebrities had chosen to come to such a small party.

He said: "I cannot believe there were celebrities right here at Winter Gardens! Maybe we'll be put back on the map!"

The resort town of Ventnor is a favourite among other British celebrities, including supermodel Kate Moss, comic Russell Brand, socialite Peaches Geldof and singer Amy Winehouse, because of the privacy it offers.

Local resident Sally Perry told People magazine: "Well-known artists and musicians have found that they can live normal lives in Ventnor, away from the media glare. So others tend to follow suit by choosing our lovely town for their special getaways."

Twilight’s Ashley Greene Loves SoBe

I mean she REALLY loves it. Further, she wants nothing between her and her SoBe–can’t stand it and won’t have it! The Twilight Saga star has agreed to model the for the SoBe’s skinsuits, which will be featured in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, a publication that has the power to pisses everybody off, even as they appear in said-person’s mailbox or bookmarks (not here though, I haven’t seen an issue since Kathy Ireland was cover-girl material– was that early ’90s?). Anyways, the promotion itself isn’t what seems to be causing talk, it’s the choice of fashion. To be specific what Greene is isn’t wearing.

Greene’s outfit – or lack thereof – will consists just of painted artwork. It’s actually a pretty damn cool job (the job itself and the quality of the work), applied by Joanne Gair (reportedly a 12-hour process). The shooting was done at the Turks and Caicos and we’ll see the full results next month when the SI Swimsuit issue hits stands. Okay, now this is where I wrap it into applicable BSC news. You know how Megan Fox has been attached to a Fathom adaptation? That idea isn’t exactly pissing me off to begin with, but if for some reason that’s doesn’t work out, it looks like we have a great alternative to bring the late Michael Turner’s creation to the big screen.

This isn’t the only recent Ashley Greene related news that the New Tear has brought us. Earlier in the week it was reported that she will be joined in The Apparition by Sebastian Stan, a film that she herself has been attached to since November. She will also, of course, be in the third chapter of the Twilight franchise, Eclipse, which hits theaters this summer; specifically on June 30th. Check out the shoot below. SoBe-autiful? Okay, let me stop. I’m not sure if this type of promotion works, but coincidently I’ve just made that decision that BSC will be going 100% SoBe in the Imperial Mess Hall.

Twilight' takeover: Watch out for giggly girls

As we told you last month, the Twilight Fan Convention is coming to the
Westin Seattle Jan. 15-17 along with seven stars from the saga's latest film, "New Moon," and -- if past events are any indication -- an influx of females from around the Sound. The presenting company, Summit Entertainment, sent out a press release on the event to local media today. The event is filling is up, according to a spokeswoman, but tickets are still available for what organizers say is a relatively small, intimate event. About 1,000 people are expected to attend the conference each day.The Official TWILIGHT Fan Convention will offer attendees the unique opportunity to involve themselves in all aspects of THE TWILIGHT SAGA. This three-day gathering will feature on-stage appearances by TWILIGHT celebrities, exclusive footage screenings, panel discussions, TWILIGHT themed parties, musical performances, costume and trivia competitions, auctions, autographing, merchandising, and photo opportunities, TWILIGHT merchandise and more. Special on-stage appearances by TWILIGHT stars will include: On Friday only, Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen); on Saturday only, Daniel Cubmore (New Moon's and Eclipse's Felix) and Charlie Bewley (The Volturi Tracker Demetri); on Sunday only, Chaske Spencer (New Moon's Sam Uley), Kiowa Gordon (Wolf Pack - Embry Call), Bronson Pelletier (Wolf Pack - Jared), and Alex Meraz (New Moon's Paul). Hosting this weekend's show will be Hannah and Hilly Hindi and guests from the The Hillywood Show, a YouTube hit who are known for their hilarious spoofs from various movies. They will also be performing skits, posing for photos and adding to the weekend of fun! The major online TWILIGHT fan website www.twilightlexicon.com will be participating with special presentations on stage. The fun will be kicked up a notch with evening functions including a Friday night Musical Concert hosted by Peter Facinelli and a Saturday Night Vampire Ball where attendee can dress in their finest vampire attire and dance the night away. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in a remake of Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1962 angst-ridden The Eclipse? No, silly. The still above shows Pattinson and Stewart, the hottest screen couple since Liz & Dick, in the supernatural romantic horror suspense drama Twilight III, or rather, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, a follow-up to the hugely successful The Twilight Saga: New Moon and the nearly as financially impressive Twilight.

Directed by David Slade, best known for Hard Candy, The Eclipse will be released on June 30, 2010. I believe no one is expecting the vampire-teen-werewolf triangle — New Moon’s Taylor Lautner also stars — to bag anything short of a zillion euros, dollars, yen, pounds, pesos, etc. at the box office, from the tip of Alaska to the tip of New Zealand’s South Island.

In this third installment of the Twilight Saga franchise, the human Bella (Stewart) must deal with some tough questions: who shall it be, the vampire Edward (Pattinson) or the werewolf Jacob (Lautner)? Is friendship more important than love? Is abstinence sexier than sex? Are full pecs more alluring than full lips? Will I pass my graduation exam? And why are all those people showing up dead in Seattle?

Also in the Eclipse cast: Bryce Dallas Howard (replacing Rachelle Lefevre), Anna Kendrick (a probable Oscar nominee for Up in the Air), Dakota Fanning, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Charlie Bewley, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, and Nikki Reed.

According to reports, Slade doesn’t know when the first Eclipse teasers will be shown, though rumor had it that they would be seen at the time of the Academy Awards in early March.

Eclipse pain for Rachel Lefevre

It seems Rachelle Lefevre is still feeling the sting (or is it the suck?) from getting fired from Eclipse. The redhead was let go from the Twilight saga in the summer, but even though Lefevre has moved on to other acting gigs, she still can't resist making subtle digs at her former employers.
"Filming thriller The Caller in Puerto Rico [with] Stephen Moyer from True Blood," Lefevre, 30, wrote on Twitter Wednesday. "But it's weird -- not a single vampire in the whole movie."
Then she signed off with an emoticon -- a winking emoticon, no less.
Lefevre played the vampire Victoria in both Twilight and New Moon, but was fired from Eclipse in July due to "scheduling conflicts" with another film, Barney's Version.
She was crushed by the decision, to the point that she didn't even attend last week's New Moon premiere.
"2 fans at the premiere," she Tweeted after the premier, "w/ Honey [her dog]) in hospital & being fired from Eclipse tonight was just 2 emotional 4 me & I couldn't manage it. So sorry."

Twilight’s Taylor Lautner gets spotted after working out at the gym. Twilight,New Moon,and Eclipse movie star, Taylor Lautner was reportedly seen yesterday after finishing a rigorous workout at the gym in Los Angeles,California. He was dressed in gray shorts and a tight black T-shirt,hopping into his very expensive ride that he payed for from his “Twilight Saga” movie money.
Taylor plays the character of Jacob Black in the “Twilight Saga” movies,and has recently been nominated to receive a “People’s Choice Award.” He ’s nominated as “Favorite Breakout Movie Actor,” and will be attending the awards show,which is scheduled to air on January 6,2010 on CBS. His co-stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have also been nominated too receive “People’s Choice Awards.”
Kristen is nominated for “Best Movie Actress,” and Robert Pattinson is nominated for “Best Movie Actor.” It is not yet known whether they will appear on the show or not. The only other confirmed “Twilight” star scheduled to appear is Kellan Lutz who plays Emmit Cullen in the “Twilight Saga” movies.

To can currently catch all the “Twilight” stars in “Twilight Saga: New Moon,” which is currently in theaters now, and “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” when it hits theaters on June 30,2010.

Willem Dafoe Says 'Daybreakers' Predates 'Twilight'

"Daybreakers," the latest film to drive home the idea that vampires are most definitely in right now, is about as far as you can get from the romance and diamond sparkles of "Twilight." It's bloody, it's violent, and it portrays humanity as an endangered species, a dwindling food supply squandered by the excesses of the latest dominant life form on the planet.

The near-future world created by writer/directors Peter and Michael Spierig is one which falls very close to our own, with the main difference being that Average Joes and Janes are mostly active at night. And a change in their diet, of course. It's a clever twist on established vampire tropes, a look at a world in which the blood-suckers have won. "I thought the approach was really fresh," Willem Dafoe told MTV in a recent interview. The actor stars as Lionel "Elvis" Cormac, a one-time vampire who regains his humanity following a freak accident. Dafoe plays the role of hero in the movie, working to save the last remaining vestiges of humanity from being turned into lunch.

"It's such a well-established genre that usually people are doing takes on it," Dafoe said. "You could [go back to the roots.] It's very flexible, the vampire mythology, you can use it to serve lots of things. God knows it's a great metaphor for talking about everything from sex to romance to power to colonialism to ... you name it."

Forget about the phenomenon, "Daybreakers" actually predates the first "Twilight" book by at least a year. Lionsgate acquired the Spierig's script in 2004, a year before Stephenie Meyer's debut novel was even released. The timing of this movie's release, between "New Moon" and "Eclipse" is fortuitous, but the takeaway is that the vampire mythology was going to be tweaked with or without the saga of Edward and Bella.

"This isn't an apology, because obviously [Lionsgate] factored very big on when ['Daybreakers'] was going to be released, but this was in development far before ['Twilight']," Dafoe said. It's true that Hollywood is very much susceptible to trends, usually built on underlying beliefs and fears in the public's subconscious. Look no further than the disaster movies of the late-'90s or the post-9/11 string of safe, feel-good storytelling.

"I think ... there are surges of, whatever, football movies, there are surges of sports movies, there are surges of a certain kind of political movie," Dafoe said, driving that idea home. "These things, they're cyclical. The vampire myth keeps on getting recycled."
